The Village Office is located on the second floor of the North Shore Business Development Centre, and is open on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month, from September to June. (Schedule may vary depending on holidays and school closures).

Driving Directions

From New Brunswick:

Take Highway # 2 (TCH) east past Sackville and enter into Nova Scotia. (TCH becomes Highway #104) Follow it east for 48 km and take Exit # 7 (Folly Lake/Wentworth) onto # 4 highway. Follow it east for 23 km and turn left at onto the # 246. Follow it for 26 km into Tatamagouche.

Alternate route: Sunrise Trail

Take Highway # 2 (TCH) across the border into Nova Scotia. Take exit 3 (just past the Wandlyn Hotel) Turn right onto Route 6, (East Victoria Street) drive through Amherst, and continue east on Route 6 (Victoria St)  It is 84 km to Tatamagouche.You will pass through Pugwash (remember to turn right as you come off the bridge) and Wallace.

From Halifax:

Take Highway 102 from Halifax to Truro (73.5 km) Just past Truro, take Exit 14A (Onslow/Tatamagouche) and turn right at the stop sign. Drive on Onslow Rd for 3.7 km and turn left onto Route 311 at the flashing light. Drive north 49 km on Route 311 to Tatamagouche.

From Pictou:

Drive to the traffic roundabout and take the second exit (Route 6/River John/Tatamagouche) onto Route 6 and drive west, 53 km through River John to Tatamagouche.

From Cape Breton/Antigonish/New Glasgow:

Take TCH 104 west towards Pictou, and exit off Exit 22 to Route 106. Follow it north for 12 km to the traffic roundabout. Enter the roundabout and take the third (3) exit which is for Route 6/River John/Tatamagouche. Drive west on Route 6 for 53 km to Tatamagouche.

From Stanfield International Airport (Halifax):

Drive on Bell Blvd. leaving the airport, past the PetroCan station (on right) and Tim Hortons (on left). Merge right onto Highway 102 North and drive 64 km to Truro. Just past Truro, take Exit 14A (Onslow/Tatamagouche) and turn right at the stop sign. Drive on Onslow Rd for 3.7 km and turn left onto Route 311 at the flashing light. Drive north 49 km on Route 311 to Tatamagouche.

From P.E.I. (Bridge):

Take the Confederation Bridge from Borden. The Bridge merges onto Highway 16 on the N.B. side. Drive 37 km to the traffic circle at Port Elgin. Take second road, staying on the #16. Six (6) km further on, turn left onto Main Street, and drive 1.4 km to Route 970 in Baie Verte. Turn right and drive about 7 km, crossing into NS, to the stop sign. Turn left onto Route 366 for 25 km. Stay straight onto the Tidnish Linden Road for 1.5 km until you arrive at Route #6 (sunrise Trail) Turn left. Keep on Route 6, 14.5 km into Pugwash. Follow Route 6 (right) as you come off the bridge into Pugwash, and then 35 km to Tatamagouche.

From PEI (Caribou Ferry):

From Charlottetown, take the TCH to Wood Islands (25 km) and take the ferry to Caribou, N.S. Take Route 106 south for 7 km until you come to the Pictou roundabout. Enter the roundabout and take the first road off (Route 6/RiverJohn/Tatamagouche) Stay west on Route 6 for 53 km passing through River John to Tatamagouche.
