July 13, 2019~ 7:30 pm. SHANNON QUINN at The Grace Jollymore Joyce Arts Centre, Creamery Square. In 2016 Shannon won ‘Roots Traditional Album of the Year’ & ‘New Artist Recording of the year’ at the Music Nova Scotia Awards, and has also been nominated for two Canadian Folk Music Awards. She recently released a second album (recorded in Glasgow) in July 2015 entitled ‘If All the Young Ladies’. This album features Shannon primarily as a vocalist as well as a fiddler.

The Saint John String Quartet continues to make their mark on the Canadian music scene with the release of their new album, Canadian Hits: Unplugged. This album represents a step outside of a string quartet’s norm with 16 pop hits from Canadian icons, including Leonard Cohen, the Arkells, Joni Mitchell and The Tragically Hip.
