Government

The Village of Tatamagouche receives its legislative authority and responsibility from the Province of Nova Scotia. The authority is detailed in the Municipal Government Act. The Village is governed by five elected representatives; currently serving the Village are: Chair Peter Pope, Vice Chair Tyler Baird, AJ Cunningham, Jamie Campbell and Mark LeFresne.

The Village Commission meets the second Tuesday of every month, with the exception of July and August, unless required. Meetings are held in the boardroom of the North Shore Business Centre on Main Street at 7:30 PM.

The Village Commission holds the Annual General Meeting the fourth Tuesday of May at the Tatamagouche Fire Hall.
